For Cheech, our goodest boy.
The dog who started it all — and reminded us that the best adventures have four paws.
Our story
Inspired by Cheech. Built with love.
The name Cheech & Co comes from our first dog, our husky Cheech. He was the best dog ever, and every day and every walk with him was an absolute adventure.
We officially started our company in 2018, but our love and passion for dogs began long before that. What started with walking dogs and having one or two of our clients' dogs sleep over grew into something truly special.
From the beginning, we wanted to offer the kind of service we would choose for our own dogs — somewhere we could feel happy and comfortable knowing who our dogs were with, where they were, and what they were doing.
After an unfortunate accident in 2020, we were no longer able to physically continue running our daycare and dog-walking services, so we had to take a pause. Even then, our need to work with dogs never went away, and we found other ways to keep that connection alive.
Now, we finally have the opportunity to run our own business again, and we want to do it in honour of the dog who started it all: Cheech. He was the goodest boy — the one who made work never feel like work. We hope he would be proud of us, and we carry him with us every day, in everything we do and with every dog we meet.
This is for you, Cheech. Always part of the pack. 💚
